Six Points to Note When Using a Moisture Analyzer

April 06, 2020

Moisture analyzer is a commonly used instrument. It must be used in any industry that needs to measure Moisture, such as food, etc. Moisture Analyzer has a wide range of application and has a great effect. It is also a kind of precise instrument.

Instrument features:

Chinese display titration process, Chinese and English input and output can be carried out.

The moisture analyzer is easy to operate and can be titrated with "one-click" without setting control parameters for the titration process.

The fully enclosed titration platform can automatically change the solvent to avoid the contact between the chemical reagent and the human body.

According to the environmental conditions of the experiment, you can set the "automatic" or "manual" drift value background deduction to ensure more accurate analysis results.

The titration result report can be output in the format required by GLP / GMP, including many information such as laboratory, experiment time, experimenter, and sample name.

Able to perform statistical analysis on stored titration results, including average, standard deviation, and relative standard deviation.

The external printer outputs the measurement report; the external balance can support normal weighing and weight-reduction weighing and send the weighing value directly to the instrument; the external computer can be connected to the workstation for data analysis and management.

Moisture Analyzer

When using the moisture analyzer, you must pay attention to the following six points. The moisture analyzer manufacturer introduces you: The first is that the system must be fully sealed when the moisture analyzer is in use. The connection of the liquid path of the moisture analyzer must be fastened, from the reagent bottle to the metering pump to the reaction pool, otherwise reagent leakage will directly affect the test results. If the system is not sealed, another problem will be caused by the fact that the reagent absorbs air moisture during the test, which will cause a delay in the end of the titration.

The second is accurate sampling. Generally speaking, 10mg of water is required, and 10ul sampler is used as much as possible. This is the same for methanol reagent and ethyl ester. This is not only accurate and fast, but also prevents water droplets from sticking. At the same time, after the picking and placing, the time for opening the reaction cell should be shortened as much as possible.

The third is the adjustment of the magnetic stirring speed: in the reaction cell, because the titration reagent is added locally, it is not in the same place as the electrode, so the stirring speed is best to be fast until no turbulence is formed, so that the end point can be reached as quickly as possible. The fourth is that the setting of the titration speed must be fast first and then slow, and fast during the titration to minimize the test time, and the strain should be slow when approaching the end point, which can improve the accuracy of measurement.

Fifth, after each test, the reagents in the system must be emptied, and then cleaned with methanol. Never use water to clean the system, because it is not easy to volatilize, which will cause the reagent calibration to be incorrect during the next test. Cleaning with methanol will ensure the accuracy of the measurement.

The sixth is that the 100g moisture analyzer should be far away from the strong magnetic field in daily life, to avoid the electronic display beating and abnormal phenomena when working. Especially for the manual moisture analyzer, because the glass automatic burette must be used to measure the reagent and methanol solvent, and the glass burette itself must be connected to the outside world because of the equilibrium pressure. So we must pay more attention to this.
