The national standards for cast iron weights mainly include the following aspects:
Material requirements: Cast iron weights must be made of high-quality fine-grained gray cast iron. The material is generally high-strength cast iron HT200-250, and the working surface hardness is HB170-240
Surface treatment: The surface of the cast iron weight should be treated with an environmentally friendly paint coating to ensure its corrosion resistance and aesthetics
Accuracy level: The accuracy levels of cast iron weights are divided into three types: M1, M2 and M3. M1-level weights have the highest accuracy and are suitable for high-precision measurements; M2-level weights are second; M3-level weights have lower accuracy and are suitable for general measurements
Appearance design: There are many shapes of cast iron weights, including flat, square, lock, round, cylindrical and special-shaped, etc., to meet different usage requirements
Manufacturing process: During the manufacturing process, cast iron weights need to be artificially annealed (600 degrees-700 degrees) and naturally aged (2-3 years) to ensure their stable accuracy and enhanced tensile and bending strength. In addition, the working surface of the cast iron weight adopts the scraping process, and can be processed into shaped, shaped, shaped grooves and round holes, long holes, etc.
Use and maintenance : Cast iron weights should not be placed near magnetic fields, such as the magnetic workbench of the grinder, to avoid magnetic induction. During use, attention should be paid to regular inspection and maintenance. If any abnormality is found, it should be sent to the measurement station for inspection in time to avoid self-disassembly or rough treatment
Standard basis : The standard basis of cast iron weights includes the national standard "JB/T7974-1999" and "OIML - R111, JJG99-2022” Weight Verification Procedure
